Lawyers are unabashedly self-promotional. A lawyer on !OSCON panel say that you shouldn't make any #swpats decisions w/out hiring a lawyer.

I disagree. For many small companies, their patent portfolio helps sweeten the deal when potential acquirers come around.

#BlueHost keynote is really a corporate sales pitch. Slowly but surely, !OSCON drifted from conference to trade show;LinuxWorld lives again!

Off to federal court for #Jury_Duty. I'd love to get on a trial, but I doubt they want someone who's been a 30(b)(6) witness in that Court.

Cool thing about Grand Jury: it's 23 people, only 16 needed for quorum. Judge told me clearly I could miss for scheduled trips, like !OSCON.

My #Grand_Jury isn't meeting today. This is definitely convenient way to serve jury duty; not schedule-disruptive like a petit jury can be.

My EDNY Federal #GrandJury (Regular Wed 2011-11-21) was surreptitiously disbanded. GJ Coordinator,says rules for such "aren't written down"!
