... I also don't know whether the code is deployable other than their own instance.

Does anyone in this group have access to the ostatus.org servers? The web server isn't responding.

Somebody went to a huge amount of trouble to set up thousands of accounts. And there's no URLs or spam or whatever. So strange.

Wow, I've gotten > 1,200 unique visits to my blog today! More than twice my previous record, yesterday! Thanks Reddit! http://va.mu/Rkea
-
@evan Thanks! :) Really hope we'll see more focus on developing OStatus (and its website) soon! Adding #zot maybe? @chriswaterguy @mlinksva
-
Don't think so. We've been working through some proposals for enhancing OStatus with private distribution.

subscribing to someone on a different !ostatus node is like getting punched in the face. in !buddycloud it isnt even noticable.

@dodothelast although there is cracks in StatusNet it's not so bad here. Definitely excited about #buddycloud though. Thanks for your work.

!OStatus looks like far more than just a neat microblogging federate protocol. the protocol stack looks useful for an evolution of RSS/Atom
-
In fairness sn is an open federated protocol, diaspora is its own protocol RT @coyo: net yet. !statusnet and !diaspora …
-
Hey you guys, you know the thing about Federated Social Networking is that you can pick up and move off right? Just sayin' !identica
- Christopher Allan Webber and Christopher Murtagh like this.
-
@coyo indeed, if it can become part of a work project then I'll work on it lol
-
sounds good, we definitely need more coders. there's a lot to do.
-
-
oh, i'm very sorry. i did not realize #ostatus was your pet project. nvm. ignore that.
-
-
does !Diaspora support !OStatus? is that planned?
-
hey !OStatus! when federating, do you create a new http connection for each subscription you fetch? how exactly does it work? i'm reading..
-
@coyo and i dont understand it. do you channel everything over a single persistant http connection? how much bandwidt…
