@bkuhn if HP liberated drivers and boot loaders it would be of enormous help for !fso and !shr

@bkuhn HP are still looking for options. If they want to profit from their Palm purchase, IMO it has to involve open source.

@webmink amen! I know quite a few #foss hackers who were palm users ages ago, when it was most open available. Lot of potential IMO

It is rather #disturbing that #asayroll plays along with the propaganda that #Google is "going proprietary" or something along those lines

@schestowitz Not much better, imo. webos is at least releasing their source. http://opensource.palm.com <== not #TOSW but neither is #GOOG

@rrix there are Android forks, I don't think ones can be made for WebOS

      • Rui Seabra Rui Seabra Stable Hybrid Release

@schestowitz yes they can, and much better than Android as webos is basically OpenEmbedded, close to traditional GNU/Linux. Same as !Shr

@jargon for the SGS.. The complaint will be mainly the GPS.. It lags but can be solved by flashing the speedmod kernel for froyo..
