   Now I have !Compiz running on !KDE 4.5.3 @ !aptosid = !sidux ~ !Debian sid. It *feels* like running much smoother than #KWin… :)

     @djotaku I have asked that question a lot too. it all depends I think. I use intel arrandale chip and it works very well.

     @djotaku heard ATI with the foss driver could be a bit slow and Nvidia is generally believed to work very well. even though with some issues

   recompiled !Qt with '-graphicssystem raster' on !sidux / !debian sid. My !KDE is as fckn fast as a white christian devil now! Unbelievable!

     @jcemelanda There are 3 options: X11/native, raster and opengl. Raster just takes a buffer from X and renders only in software (but fast!)

      @dme I have a lenevo r61 running !sidux and !debian (multiboot) and I can plug and play monitors to my hearts content (intel graphix)

      @julienvalroff Sidux add scripts & kernel so it can be installed & used 4 live cd which debian dont do 4 sid, thats the diff I wanted 2 show
