     @thistleweb It does feel like that. My current setup Fedora+Lxde too - plenty of screen, very narrow panel.

     I run !Slitaz on my EeePC 701, and I'm perfectly happy with it. Had to replace some of the default software, but that's normal.

      @claudeb Awesome, glad it works well on other netbooks too. Often DEBs/RPMs convert w/out problems or write build scripts based on Arch's.
