Looking for a good !xmpp client that supports #PGP or #OTR encryption for chatrooms/conferences, any suggestions? (except #Kopete )
-
@rysiek cause the others didn't have a client with otr support :-P
-
@cyberkiller have you tried tkabber? Seems to support it (you might need plugins) http://tkabber.jabber.ru/files/doc/tkabber.html#s.features
-
@jankusanagi didn't try it yet, but I tried wija (linked on GPG website), but was so out of date that it didn't properly connect 2 xmpp serv

!swift Could be my network at fault. gTalk can connect to Google XMPP service but Pidgin and Swift can't. Will try later.
-
!swift If I want to use gTalk, what username do I use to login ? <user>@gmail.com ? Get 'connect failed' at the moment.
-
@andyc Sorry, wasn't paying attention - yes, user@gmail.com but GTalk's client has non-XMPPish ways of connecting at well for network errors
-
@kev Thanks. Works really well. I like the way you masked a load of complex configuration from the end user.
-
-
!swift Seems configure had cached info. Reinstalled clean and openssl now recognised.
-
!swift on Fedora 15 reports 'Error: Swift requires OpenSSL support, and OpenSSL was not found.' but I have installed openssl (honest).
-
Trying to build !swift on fedora 15. I have gcc/g++ 4.6 available but Scons claims 'Checking whether the C++ compiler works - no'.
