     @failedvegan I've never had any Ubuntu One dir but I've had many dirs & files from my pre-Linux days that have terrible names.

    Aha! !Ubuntu Precise problem worked out (typo in !ubuntuone nightlies PPA was triggering stricter checks in glib). Looking great!
