     @spacehobo u'ß' is u'\xdf'. u'ß'.upper still is u'\xdf'. u'ẞ' is u'\u1e9e'. u'ẞ'.lower() is u'\xdf' -> you were right. I only used u'\xdf'.

     @fritzy No, in some cases ß was replaced by ss, but there are still many word, that can only be spelled with ß. The capital ẞ is useless :)

      @bignose !gnuscreen only supports the !unicode BMP, so any codepoint above 0xFFFF is not rendered properly. UCS-2 brainworms, alas.

      @mjjzf Adobe CS ME edition, but I use OpenOffice.org. (Tasmeem 4 is great for !Arabic !type on Adobe CS, no #floss equivalent.)
