Loving Identicurse on the Thinkpad. Nice to have a Linux machine back again.
-
@nuclearsandwich Normally a Vim user, yes.
-
@r7 yes I have, as well as surf. Both are too minimal for the webdev that I do and it becomes a pain to switch hotkeys.
-
-
@mvdan BTW thanks for mentioning Uzbl - my new browser of choice
-
@mvdan Yes, my jabber.org account hasn’t been logged in for about 45 minutes.
-
I've never used chromium anyway. I prefer !uzbl ;-)
-
I never hear about this project, .... searching on ddg.gg =P
-
@identicats what's the reason of switching? Firefox much better than chrome or chromium.
mohammad Efazati likes this. -
@identicats with #chromium you'll avoid the annoying google stuff. as @mbnoimi i still prefer firefox.

Found a stable wifi hotspot this morning with enough uplink bandwidth, latest !uzbl git snapshot is now on its way into !debian #sid @mvdan
-
I love you.
-
So far it works great, but for the first time ever I get FC's. Shell just states it as "Segmentation Fault". Does not happen often, though.
-
-
-
Yaargh, you just made a #sid kid nervous! ;-)
-
Oh, I was just kidding. Don't worry about it, there's no problem at all.

-
really, really enjoying the simplicity and flexibility of the !uzbl browser. Plus I'm a sucker for a cute icon
-
enjoying getting to grips with !uzbl
-
how do you get !uzbl to accept clipboard input?
-
-
@manolomartinez you're welcome :) you should like awesome too, then. BTW any good progress in configuring uzbl?
-
@mvdan So far, I'm just playing around with it. I had to add "@ignore_key <Mod5>" in the uzbl config to allow me to type "\wiki"...
-
@mvdan ... but I haven't got about blocking ads or scripts. Let me know when u do. As for awsome, I've got a pretty customised openbox...

@otakukuma Doesn't work with gvim. What you should do is copy to + or * registers. + is ctrl-c-v and * is shift-insert. "*yy to copy 1 line
-
@danielmarti Copy to * or + registers with "*yy or "+yy respectively. Or paste from those registers with "*p etc
-

-
@otakukuma Intéressant, je ne connaissais pas. Côté gecko, !conkeror est excellent.
