The only reason I use !gnome-settings-daemon is to have a #NeXT-ish GTK theme in !windowmaker.

On reboot after yanking pulseaudio from !Ubuntu 10 LTS, !gnome-settings-daemon set my !windowmaker wallpaper for 1st time in 3yrs.

@arielmt at the time i used window maker, i used wvdial and a 56k modem for net access, and NM didn't even exist, so i wouldn't know... :-)

@msoulier after using wicd for a few weeks, i conclude that it's about the most unstable, buggy software i have used so far. alternatives?
