Ubuntu users: if you are on 8.10 please make sure you use the webkit packages from the Ubuntu repositories and not the WebKit PPA.

Gwibber now supports theming! You can select a theme in the Preferences dialog. Put your custom themes in ~/.local/share/gwibber/ui/themes

Gwibber can now display Jaiku threads in new tabs. I also added support for keyboard tab navigation.

Generic Laconi.ca server support is now working in Gwibber. I have committed the fix to version control, but it hasn't been packaged yet.

The old main branch is being retired. All ongoing development will take place in the webkitui branch. I've redirected lp:gwibber accordingly

Gwibber packages for openSUSE are now available with 1-click install: http://is.gd/18aN. Foresight Linux also has Gwibber packages now.

I also made it so that replies directed at the user are highlighted with a red border so that they stand out more.

Gwibber now uses the Twitter-compatible API for identi.ca in the WebKit UI branch. This should speed up sending messages a little bit.

Added full support for identi.ca avatars to Gwibber. I used the new standard paths defined in the API docs.
