there isn't any bug in the python package. our /etc/arch-release is just empty but imo python should fallback to plain old uname -r

in !archlinux gnome-documents is in gnome-extra and you don't have to install it.

you are partially correct. If tracker is not available, it falls back to find/grep and is not installed by default in !archlinux

well, they said that webkit browser are problematic. there is a bug in webkit that has to be fixed first.
