Yeah, it may be related to feature freeze.

  16. Julien Danjou Julien Danjou Tom Willemsen

@ryuslash Sure, you can argue that. But so far nobody even tried to argue. They just say: "ELPA." :)

  17. Julien Danjou Julien Danjou Tom Willemsen

Really I'm ok to keep things from the 80's. But it seems it's more important to refuse things from the 2010's to them. Sad story.

about 9 months ago from web at Paris, Île-de-France, France in context
  18. Julien Danjou Julien Danjou Tom Willemsen

Sure. But the current policy is to refuse anything useful, not to remove old useless cruft and organize thing correctly. So it's pointless.

  19. Julien Danjou Julien Danjou Tom Willemsen

@ryuslash It would be easier if packages were reviewed, maintained and integrated into Emacs trunk rather than put on the side in ELPA.

about 9 months ago from web at Paris, Île-de-France, France in context
  20. Julien Danjou Julien Danjou emacs

GNU ELPA is one of the worst idea of !Emacs. It's like a having a bouncer at the Emacs front door always saying: "Nop. Try ELPA".
