Much reading to do, but finding it very hard to keep my eyes open. These things seem always to be true.
-
@jlawr I wonder if this collection of sentences is equally incomprehensible to, say, my grandmother and Shakespeare. I assume so.
-
@mcnalu Ah! Absolutely understood. Bored babies trump any conversation.
-
I'm trying to decide between using identi.ca or using my !sdf status.net instantiation account. To federate or not? Any opinions?
-
Oh identi.ca. Don't mean to treat you mean. I have to move you into the front seat, social interwebs-wise. Social interwebs-ally? Yes.
-
@mcnalu Funny! As awkward as these convos are, I've had some great ones. Some humans are more interesting in transition than when still.
-
I'm really impressed with @mustard so far. Nice app.
-
@mcnalu They're early missionary grammars of Algonquian languages that I've managed to collect. Really fun stuff. Many from microfiche.
-
Up late, OCR-ing some old grammars. Life is good.
-
It's kind of confusing.
-
Not sure I like the new reply mechanism in identi.ca. I expect my replies to show, in the message, the person to whom they are directed.
-
Yeah, just trying to get back in the swing of things with identi.ca. I was away from it for quite a few months.
-
Testing mustard.
-
Yeah, I have a really hard time distinguishing those sounds as well.
-
Just got back from Lynn Valley. We had a nice hike in the woods.
-
Beautiful day in Vancouver! Going for a hike on the North Shore. Good day for pictures.
-
They're those sounds in Arabic that make it sound as though you're clearing your throat. Good fun.
-
Taking Arabic lessons does sound frustrating. How are your pharyngeals coming along?
-
Van is nice; rainy right now. The programme is great. Lots of interesting things going on. New id for a new era! Plus, it's shorter.
-
Ok, that's better.
