installed !gnome 3 in my !openSUSE. There are some rough egdes, but it is surprisingly snappy and pretty.

It seemed it was not blur effect which was dragging my system's responsiveness. I'm suspecting it was sliding popups. !kde

Oh man without blur effect the desktop runs much smoother. I don't understand why blur keeps giving many people hard time !kde

@rajitsingh What I meant was in terms of speed. Previously, Opera's rendering was horribly slow with blur effects.
