Maybe I should try unity. Does unity taskbar (?) works like windows 7? Can I just press super to call the search pane?

IMO, windows 7 taskbar is the best windows-list type thing to use. KDE taskbar is similar, but I cannot map super key to the menu ...

Just tried cinnamon with my #openSUSE system. Very nice, but it reminded me why I left gnome2. Window list on the panel feels very basic ..

installed !gnome 3 in my !openSUSE. There are some rough egdes, but it is surprisingly snappy and pretty.
