Started a test #golang application running on #openshift.
-
Playing around a bit with #OpenShift and it looks promising so far.
-
@neildarlow oh shoot, and I recently just installed #slackware (again) as well
-
@neildarlow That one aspect may be the make-it-or-break it aspect for someone (that's all I'm getting at)
-
@neildarlow and that's fine, but saying it's not ok to judge distro's on the package manager is short sighted (as many users will)
-
@gombang I tend to agree, my netbook, for example, has a pretty slow harddrive as well, yum is painfully slow there at times
-
@neildarlow yes, slackware users evaluated the package manager, and deemed it acceptable (not everyone is going to be of that opinion)
-
@neildarlow Granted not all RPM distros are the same, but judging /each/ distro on how they deal with their packages is perfectly acceptable
-
@neildarlow I'd argue that it's a valid thing to judge a distro on. Some package managers don't track dependencies (Slackware for example)
-
@gatoso If you're asking if I get a similar error to "==> ERROR: Build failed" the answer is no as mine only sets up the chroot not a build
-
@gatoso I should also mention that I built my chroot with pacman and not a script *shrugs* /shouldn't/ really matter I don't think
-
@gatoso I use this file (http://ur1.ca/d7gwp) in my chroot; I then use this script (http://ur1.ca/d7gwq) to reset pacman
-
answered "Package: pass (1.4.2-1)"

@jaimealsilva http://ur1.ca/bq9ac click bugs at the top :)

I really try not to take for granted how awesome #zsh is. Macro shell scripting, yes, I do want/need that! http://is.gd/ONdFI0
-
@neverendingo I have 22K unread items currently and no crashes.
-
I forget how nice fast compiles are with #golang until I build a C++ project.
