@rickylais I don't get why, there is only 12G of files but somehow it takes up 50G of space plus "restore partition" plus boot partition.

@rysiek bought it from a low-overheads e-bay seller who won't want the hassle. should I go directly to MS or to the laptop OEM (hp)

computer came with win7. takes up ~70Gig on 3 partitions. Not sure whether to wipe it all and have done or pack it into a corner !linux
