@othermichael I have the same keyboard used with 99% of pcs and notebooks out there. It's impossible to do pair programming with a dvorak.

@bignose @sohumb The problem is not if it's possible, it's that if I remap and I have to use a normal layout I get constantly confused.

I think that we really should talk about ergonomy in !emacs taking into account the current status (sw *and* hw). IMHO, obviously.

@sohumb Ok, now it's clear. We can't do it inside !emacs, but perhaps we can use something else to replace the ctrl key or a new MOD concept

@bignose What I'm saying is: why I must adapt my (modern) keyboard to a 33 year old software? *Hardware* is changed, !emacs must adapt IMHO.
