I've been seeding !Trisquel 4.0 Taranis all night long now.I'll do a fresh install of it later today.Upgrading never works out well for me.

@railcar88 That's so true. Nowadays I write everything in Python and if something is too slow, I write it as a c or c++ module to use in Py.

@mjjzf 3.0 will be based on Debian. The current version is still based on Ubuntu. But it's the reason why Trisquel remains Ubuntu based.
-
@mjjzf Trisquel was originally based on Debian and will remain Ubuntu based. There is already gNewSense as Debian based free distribution.
-
@fjmarcelo Did you get it to work?
-
@jacobwb Debian does use a kernel version with blobs...
-
@rhonda "free" is what you meant, isn't it? Apple hardware would never be my hardware of choice. I like Debian, but it ain't entirely free.
-
@silner I don't know what you mean by suspicious. I took a look at the program. It's partially "unpythonic", but not doing anything bad.
-
@rw Yes. Kernel blobs as well as unfree packets in the repository.
-
Happy birthday, !Debian. :) Wow, this is my first "abuse" of bang-tags ever. Now you just need to find your way back to real freedom.
-
@osamak What exactly are you trying to refer to?
-
@lovenemesis Nah, I know some who don't like Sci-Fi.
-
@durand We have a typical case of bang-tag abuse, Jim. Seriously, I just go through my Personal and see so many dent I shouldn't be seeing.
-
@lstench People should just read their documentation. In #python on freenode, there are always people who ask stuff answered in the doc...
-
@didiermisson Seems to be nice for honeypots.
-
@handheldcar Or most of the compilers...
-
@stewiex I wouldn't exactly call it fixing... the plans are to take support for Gopher out/ not support it anymore.
-
@stewiex Did you test it yet? Does it still have gopher support? They wanted to scrap that in 4.x
-
@papapeps Aye, that's most likely the best way, by any definition. It's just a waste of energy and time, to keep demonizing others.
-
@vinc17 Wireshark does, and so does gparted and any other application that is capable of seriously endangering the system security.
