Spent a couple of hours hacking together a layout in #Jekyll that looks similar to my current WP theme and I've gotten quite close.

Not portable either but if I get a new lcd I made a script to generate the main code so I just need to fill in stuff from the datasheet.

Done :) katakanaString(5, "ha", "tsu", "ne", "mi", "ku") returns the proper string to display 'ハツネミク' on the LCD. Not pretty but it works.

My mission for tonight is to make displaying hiragana on this lcd easy by writing some help functions for LiquidCrystal.
