How can I configure correctly my HP Pavilion tactile touchpad on !debian ? Must edit some option on the xorg.conf file?

@gerbosan I've installed ubuntu previously in the laptop but doesn't convince me, so I was trying with debian.

@gerbosan you are right, but I just bougth the laptop and am checking which distro fits best. I've used openSuse on my pc before.

@gerbosan And would you recommend oSuse? how much ram on startup? 64 bit edition? gnome or kde?

@nacholopez touchpad buttons work, but as they are tactile, when I tap them the mouse clicks well but also moves the pointer.

I'm about to install !debian #squeeze I want an encrypted lvm but think it ask for pass when mount the fs. Easy way to do it like #ubuntu ?

@nacholopez I have tried, and when I close the laptop it suspends. The only issue is that the option doesn't appear at the shutdown dialog.

@nacholopez Yes... it makes sense. But what about de dialog to suspend the computer when the options of shutting-down, etc are shown?
