Planning to launch a blog in four days if all goes well. Shmot 12:2 "This month... shall be the first month of the year to you. "
-
"A lovely cheese pizza, just for me."
-
Dear @Pandora_Radio, may I please dislike an artist? If I want to listen to Cat Stevens, how many times must I thumbs-down Neil Young? :-)
-
Snowpocalypse in Jerusalem. Are buses cancelled? If so I feel it is my duty as a man to hike to the shuk.
-
Hugo is set in a dystopian alternative history. All the French in Paris have been massacred and replaced by Brits. Unspeakable horror.
-
Blogger continues to be flagrantly different from the rest of the Google UI. It's like the one insane Californian at a family reunion.
-
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has just announced his next project: _Kosher Umbrellas on Shabbat_. Expect controversy.
-
Been spending the last two days finishing construction on my Dharma hatch. Some MREs and a stationary bike, and I think I'm set to move in.
-
A perfect example of why Written Torah is confusing without Oral Torah: the story of the first Exodus in ch.12 (parashat Bo, 4th aliyah).
-
I began Tim Ferriss's slow-carb diet last week. Pro: use microblogging to track progress. Con: "You're tweeting what you had for breakfast!"
-
To reinstate GNOME on Ubuntu 11.10, do sudo apt-get install gnome-panel ; then reboot and choose it from the login prompt. It looks great.
-
Back with Oneiric Ocelot, Ubuntu 11.10, and the first thing I'm doing after installing the printer (which works) is reinstalling gnome.
-
...(Somebody named Lisa, to be specific. It doesn't help that she's beautiful and has lots of potential.)
-
Using Mint right now is like going back to someone whom I promised myself to break up with last week. "I just need you to get a new distro."
-
Linux Mint installed beautifully, but it doesn't want to print. It says the HP LJ 1018 is installed. It says it's printing. But it isn't.
-
Mint boots up live and recognises the network connexion right away. Somebody explain that to me.
-
No network mojo with Ubuntu 10.04 either. No time to research it. Back to Ubuntu 11 (hopefully with the ability to opt out of Unity).
-
Violent (but good) rainy weather is hitting Jerusalem now, which means I need to secure the tarps around my balcony office. Fun!
-
I need to get past this PC maintenance so I can install some Broadworks patches. So of course now I have home maintenance emergencies.
-
No luck with Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS. It doesn't recognise my network connexion. Can't do much more without that. Installing 10.10 again now.
