@tonyyarusso yes but you'd have to script it yourself. The nfs scripts is where I'd do it.

@lichtwesen Yes, a very long time ago when I was a kid. Never bothered with the remakes.
-
@danilo Next time, even though you are doing a fresh install, make sure you back up /etc and /var. /etc has your user stuff, /var has DBs.

@captainshanks no it's a bot that retweets stuff he posts to his page. C'mon, rms wouldn't waste time, he'd write a script to do it for him!

@bionicgeekgrrl after reading some more on RAID6, I'd rather have 5 on 4x500GB and a solid backup or two, one of which is already in place.
-
@bionicgeekgrrl a major goal of this is to have a single huge storage pool, maximizing space used.
-
@konelix LVM2 over top RAID6 over the whole lot of the drives?
-
I have 4x500GB SATA2 and 1x320GB IDE. What's the best way to utilize this? RAID5 or 6? RAID1 or 10 for /? 320 = backup? Help me out! !linux
