@evan it's always great to watch a large queue backlog get unstuck and the numbers begin to fall.
-
Yeah, I know!
-
-
@evan Can you check into spamicity.info. Seems that it’s a little slow in accessing it from my side of things…
-
I had to disable ActivitySpam on my instance for now. It caused my web interface to be completely unusable while being logged in.
-
I bet so. Each notice was slowed down while waiting on spamicity before working it’s way through the queue.
-
Also, I re-enabled #ActivitySpam and all is good now on my end. ;)

We had problems with queue servers; they're catching up now, so you may see out-of-date notices appearing in your realtime feed for a while.

@support after the last dent they did show up. Refreshing didn't work though. It's probably a performance problem. /cc @evan

How about now? I've just restarted all our queue servers. Not sure what the problem was.
-
@evan I'm experiencing disappearing notices on my /all page when I reload. They automagically show up when 'play' is pressed, but gone on F5
-
OK, I'll check it out. Gar.
-
Aha. Lagging slave. I'm taking it out of rotation and letting it catch up. Thanks!

@theru My timeline seems to be okay now. It looks like it was a very transitory glitch in my case :-)
-
This sometimes happen when our queue handlers fall behind. They look good right now, but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks.
-
@evan I'm still seeing recent dents vanishing and then reappearing occasionally. Things are better but not quite there yet

I think no one can or will ever replace @rms single-handedly, but thinking of it in those terms is problematic. You're conflating his roles.

Nice of you to say that I'm personally so important, but this is really about how underfunded the key non-profits are, not about my own time
