@mwhudson clang++ can build xapian nowadays, but the code still segfaults in exception handling. Handy warnings, so useful as a lint-a-like!

I tried xapian-core out of curiousity - it only fails on one thing (calling a macro with an empty argument, which is undefined in C++98)
