Steven McDonald (parsifal)

  1. Steven McDonald Steven McDonald Android OS , Tommy He

@lovenemesis Or use #fdroid, where apps can have their source code audited by anybody due to being FLOSS. http://f-droid.org/

  2. Steven McDonald Steven McDonald GNU's Not Unix , Gordon Sinclair

@thistleweb There are better mechanisms for private communication, with or without privacy issues. But I see the point, in that case.

  3. Steven McDonald Steven McDonald GNU's Not Unix , Freemor

@freemor Identi.ca is meant for public, not private communication. I don't see why the potential for subpoena matters if the data is public.

  4. Steven McDonald Steven McDonald Android OS , Maxwell Draven

@ravenman Check out F-Droid if you haven't already, it's an app repo for !android with FLOSS apps and no registration. http://f-droid.org/

  6. Steven McDonald Steven McDonald P. J. McDermott

@pehjota Some are disclaimed only conditionally by some licences. e.g. #gpl only allows redistribution with access to source code.

  7. Steven McDonald Steven McDonald P. J. McDermott

@pehjota My guess is to make it explicit that any rights not disclaimed are reserved, to e.g. ease GPL enforcement.

@trashheap You might be able to use the gNewSense parkes repo, since that's based on squeeze. Not sure how mature it is though.

@trashheap hnode homepage says hw tested with distros free according to fsf can be submitted. fsf considers debian non-free so I'd say no.
