The 7-inch color e-Reader is actually an Android tablet, i.e. Google's implementation of Linux with Java applets.

Have you seen Pandigital's e-Book readers? The box on the 6-inch model shows an embedded Linux kernel powers the device.

@boneidol Most any laptop you purchase at a retailer should be able to run Linux. I am runnning PCLinuxOS on a laptop purchased at Best Buy
