Indeed, though some argue apt has also plugged the holes that aptitude was designed to fill.

Mind you, now that I look at it again it seems no matter what keys I assign it in k/b shortcuts it doesn't work.

Might be the go. It'd be nice if it 'just worked' in the #gnome k/s shortcuts though.

I can't use f1-4 on this k/b as they default to media keys & req fn + to get to the f keys. I'd like to keep this. I'll keep looking.
