Looking at the Linux Deepin, it seems to be an excellent down to earth derivative of Gnome-Shell.

I think I'm gonna use #gnome-shell instead of Unity from now on in !Ubuntu #Oneiric. I think it has better performance and stability.
-
Installing Oneiric onto a Virtualbox Session. This way I can keep up with changes without risking my Desktop.

It looks like the minor Nvidia tearing I was experiencing disappeared with my new core i5, I guess there must have been a bottleneck.

I never thought seeing 4 cores running in the system monitor could look so sexy

Upgrading from a single core 2Ghz processor to a Core i5-2400 quad core 3.1Ghz processor. That should be put a nice performance upgrade.

Awesome Sauce! I managed to build an mplayer2 binary that works with !ChromeOS #CR-48. I'll distrubute to the cr-48 pilot group soon.

Hmmm... it appears that !chromeos on the #cr48 comes with pulseaudio, but it isn't used. I wonder If I could use it to stream music.

@intermediatech yep

Cool! Notify-OSD works over ssh X11 Forwarding. Now I can get mpd song change popups by having gmpc forwarded to my #cr48. !u !gmpc
