@tedks: when I think about state-granted monopolies on cultural works, anarchy doesn't come to mind. It sounds like statist violence to me.

@tedks: I'm still confused. I thought the GPL was meant to neutralize copyright until it could be abolished for software (mathematics).

@arkblitz: your opinion isn't a cultural work. Fair use protects those who wish to criticize your opinions. I think rms's stance is logical.
