Giving up on some of Hatta's features (like merging and serving files directly) lets one write a really tiny yet neat hg-based wiki.

The best way to learn is to read existing code. Pick some project that looks good, read its code, play with it changing some things.

@fnielsen r'\' == '\\', r'\\' == '\\\\', and the second argument still needs backslashes escaped (because you can use thngs like \1 in it).

@jargon Depends on the file format, but with jpeg/png/gif you'd have to read it and see if you get errors. Python's PIL library may help.
