"DBError: connect failed" to be exact. This is really making me wish I had the power to make my own server.
-
It seems my instance on http://ur1.ca/6dihx is down. Either get some sort of DB error or a simple "Service Unavailable" error.
-
I'm not getting any status updates on http://ur1.ca/6dihx . The last update I received was from 10 hours ago.

I'm not a programmer. I lack the mentality to be one. However, I'm trying to change that.

I feel sad for kids who don't completely understand the flow of a "non-obvious" style of storywriting. It's almost a lost art.
-
Just bought myself a Nook Simple Touch. As a writer, I read a lot. I need somethign besides my blinding iPhone to read on.
-
@gomerx Yeah, but I really want one of my own. Even better if I could use it to give my loved ones their own accounts, as they trust me.
-
I have a (somewhat) running home server that I keep active (I'm posting from it though SSH), but the middleman is always a problem.
-
I really wish I could run my own StatusNet instance from home. Sadly, I'm not entirely sure my ISP would like me if I did.
-
@jpope I'll definitely look into it, then. If I can get that working, I'll be happy with moving.
-
Actually, scratch that for now. I'd have to refollow way too many people.
-
I think I might switch to using my own StatusNet instance at http://ur1.ca/6dihx, mainly so I dont' have the "140" limitation.
-
That said, the friend who sent me the article is REALLY makign me want a subscription. I'm going to consider getting one after Christmas.
-
After reading the Linux Journal article on EFI, I understand it a bit better. Still don't completely like it, though.
-
It's good to be using a native terminal again. PuTTY is nice, but it has too many problems with my connection.
-
A friend accidentally ripped out the power box for the outlet my server uses. Had to run a full fsck to even boot into it.

Well... Xubuntu boots properly on my laptop. I'll take it for now, since I REALLY need a mobile workstation.

@gomerx @marjolrink In my case, I'm guessing it only reads a Windows bootloader unless it's in recovery mode. Poor implementation.
