"Ironic, isn't it?" "No, it's dumb. Dumb people don't get fancy words for their stupidity"
-
@jrick Oh wow. So it is. It's interesting how different this is from FreeBSD. I'm liking OpenBSD more and more :]
-
@jrick I was thinking of doing that, but in the very least, I want comfortable with it first. FreeBSD seems to discourages it for rolling
-
@seal Just a few ports aren't as new. Plus, losing the novelty-rush of having new updates everyday :P But I do think this will be better
-
Trying !OpenBSD. Using it on a spare laptop, trying to do everything I need. Hard moving from a rolling release distro though...

"Scheme vs Haskell is a silly name for this page. This page is a silly page. Boo language pissing matches. Esp. between such cool languages"

Sed: Because spending an hour finding the right regexp, is much more fun than spending an hour editing by hand :P

I'm always irritated when video casts don't have a transcript/closed captioning of some sort AND they have a terrible speaking voice.
-
@fayazbhai Oh yeah, it works and that's what I needed/wanted it to do, but just seemed like overkill :P
-
!python, overthinking this? Function to find two closest values: f = lambda x: sorted(values, key=lambda n: abs(n-x))[:2]
-
After a brief stint with Haskell, I find myself trying to write functional python.

Gamma is like fonts: I spend too much time adjusting them. Finally got "better" gamma levels, 'xgamma -rgamma 0.75 -ggamma 0.7 -bgamma 0.65'

@vertexsymphony and I'm tired of listening to people whine about !archlinux "package signing" ... I mean *really* tired...

Dear Chrom[ium]. If I'm viewing a text file and do "Save As...", I expect to save that text file, not an html file with that text embedded.

@drelyn86 I'd be a bit more sympathetic if IgnorantGuru wasn't self-righteous. Try LMDE if you want to switch. This changes nothing for me.
