I use GIF animation in some of my pixel art, or as a portable replacement for multiple layers (this is what Grafx2 does).

Does your "pee on gee" support animation? That works in all web browsers and image editors?

Apparently, GIF is pronounced with a soft g, like "jif". Just like the word "graphics", which the letter G stands for, isn't.
