@xavier solved. made 10.4 startup disk and was able to mount every partitons and run fsck of ext4 partition with gparted and repair boot :D

win$ and acer wasted my day and some data. suspect nothing working: mouse, keyboard, etc. solution - remove the battery. ubuntu is fine.
