@mtrausch If you use the nfs export method, you'd want to bind mount local disk space into the /var/tmp/portage dir in the chroot.

@segphault With enough mem, you can run about any recent desktop distro on a 400+ mhz p2 or newer. But < 512 mb & I reach for xfce+gentoo.
