Btw, that classic haha Steve Jobs shows why pie charts are dumb image actually seems an indicator that the pie chart is working actually, since it's so obvious that the numbers shown on the chart are wrong.

I don't think the numbers and slices on the Jobs pie chart disagree, but he has put the pie at a funny perspective to make the Apple slice look bigger.
Ah I see. I hadn't realized that's what's happening.
So, 3d pie graphs, at least non-orthographic ones, are clearly #evil.
