I finally pulled the trigger and moved from my grandfathered unlimited data plan from VZW, which was truly unthrottled and unlimited, to their new (throttled) unlimited plan.

Major factors were:
- I now have home Internet (1Gig even)
- Data service has gotten worse
- VZW hiked the grandfathered unlimited data price
- New plan includes unlimited talk and text (yes, I had limits on those previously)
- New plan includes service in Canada and Mexico

It felt like I made a life-changing decision. So long 150+ GB data usage! I experimented in the past two months and found I can cut down to 2 GB data usage now that I have Internet service at home.

I've had truly unlimited data for nearly ten years but hopefully I won't miss it... apparently 1% of VZW customers are still on that plan and now I exit that club.
