I stayed tuned to the BBC when I became aware of the news of close family members coming to Balmoral.

I got to experience the current host relaying the official announcement followed by the multi-broadcast interruption of normal programming!

I'm surprised that American broadcasters have special programming for this event. However, it's clear that they aren't as well-prepared as the BBC since they have large gaps between their segments.
