So... podcasts.

I use git-annex for podcast management on my laptop, but I want something a little easier for my phone. I haven't quite figured that out yet, though.

I used Podax a gpodder.net account before successfully, but I just tried both Podax and AntennaPod and both couldn't log in to gpodder.net; what am I doing wrong?

Or, what suggestions do you have?

Not sure how "free" you want to be but I've had good luck with Pocket Casts. it has an account sync feature that allows you to sync your podcasts and listening position.

A) Thanks all for the suggestions/votes of (semi) confidence in another tool; I'll take a look at them today.

B) So, I assume that no one here has any android app sync'ing with a gpodder.net account? I do like the web and desktop interface options there for easier management of feeds/episodes.

I *think* I have gpodder.net and antennapod syncing, but it wasn't the first time I entered the details. Or I thought I'd entered the details. There's some kind of non-intuitiveness going on with it where you enter details but have to go back later and tell it to login / sync. Maybe. I haven't checked that desktop gpodder is doing anything with the info, I guess I'm saying don't give up straightaway.

Greg Grossmeier likes this.

So uh, I'm dense sometimes late at night.

I logged in via gpodder.net with my email/password, tried the same in the android apps and it didn't work.

I needed to use my actual username (greg). Now they work.

I think I'll stick with Podax for now :)
