Safe belt in the bus
I just realised that it's mandatory for passengers to fasten the seat belt in the (urban) bus. Feels strange. Who knows. #publictransport

Maybe it's not about safety, but a way to 'control' passengers if there are problems? “Sit down and fasten your belt or get off the bus”?

Well, it seems it's for passengers safety http://www.circulaseguro.com/cinturon-de-seguridad-y-autobus/ And my bus is inter-city in fact.
It is a bit old question. Sometimes I remember to use the belt.
