I have never heard anyone pitching startup ideas in line in a coffee shop in SF or nearby. But I would enjoy that. Apparently the bay area has nowhere near the concentration of startups necessary for my maximum enjoyment. Onward!
I was going to for the Silicon Valley TV show reference there, more than anything else. But, SF feels like, well, too much startup for me.
The really disturbing thing is that people really and unironically seem to be including San Francisco when they refer to "Silicon Valley" nowadays, and I sometimes get the sense they primarily mean San Francisco when they say "Silicon Valley". At least, I think on balance that's more disturbing than non-disturbing.
