is it from another xmpp server or just connecting to your gtalk account with an xmpp client?

I believe I've read somewhere that the latter will still work (for a while?), but I can't find it anymore.

anyway, I've convinced at least some of the people I communicated with via gtalk to migrate to proper xmpp, which is a start.
