That's a good idea, but surely best done with a water medium. I suppose plants don't need rest from growing, though I can imagine benefits.

It might be easier to do with hydraulic mechanics rather than by electronics, but then again it might not...

How about a system that opens/closes the greeenhouse vents when it gets too hot?
