@iloveubuntu : description says: Open source, licence says: non-free, so, what is it?
-
thank you, developers of 'shutter': a lifesaver in making my course about open office :-D
-
doing some tests on my rig, starting to look 'ok' :-) !blender
-
@sheroeg I don't use it anymore, because it simply can't handle my music library and there is no sys-tray icon outside of sound menu
-
something identica might work on: polls, I only read 'agree' or 'disagree', but I DON'T SEE ABOUT WHAT! No, I don't like following the link!
-
working with shapekeys... really wishes the crazy space issue would have been fixed... reading about it from 2007.... !blender
-
@n3storm I agree, and on top of that, some gnome apps loose their menu bar in kde, because of global menu in Ubuntu... or no status icon
-
unity amazon uninstalled...

@johnkahuna I want to record and mess with samples without undo's that get lost after exiting, what any sound editor should be able to.
-
@johnkahuna And then audacity lacks non-destructive effects, which is, such as real jack-support essential for a decent workflow.
-
@johnkahuna audacity misses decent jack support for one, try connecting channel 3 and 4 of a soundcard as input before pressing 'rec'
-
@johnkahuna lists like these say nothing, camparison with professional grade software does.
-
@johnkahuna So far no real luck, but I didn't search quite hard yet. Audacity is good, but really needs in depth redesign.
-
some recommendations for an alternative on linux to audacity?
-
When oh when will desktop linux applications be DE independent?????? I'm tired of incompabilities between Gnome and KDE!!!!

@panduaji No worries, I'll manage building myself, though it has become more complicated since 2.5
-
@panduaji : no 64-bit builds though... sad...

The real work has started, summarizing books 2 and 3 to rewrite book 1 :-) ... The fire is burning again
