True! I haven't really given a fair try! But I don't think it's more integrated to Gnome than TB or that it's more user friendly.

I disabled the Nvidia card (not Optimus,some SONY nonsense) of my laptop and had a temp drop of 10 deg.C. I will definitely post about this!

On Linux you can use the middle mouse button to scroll with Firefox: Edit->Preferences->Advanced->General->Browsing->"Use autoscrolling"
