Paul had to go to doctor today, apparently has gout. Poor guy. I bought the last five episodes of last season's Beavis & Butthead for him.

Lola is the first dog I have had since living not at home who likes to play fetch. She fetches fine... I throw craptastic.

Also, if I keep Lola supplied w/tennis balls, I feel less anxious that she might use Penny as one. Doubt she would srsly, but still.

I have become my mother, swearing about my knees as I am on the floor reaching under the couch for a tennis ball, crazy dog beside me.

While skunks aren't quite as exciting to Lola as squirrels, it is only because they don't travel so fast. Bastards are easy to lose sight of

Wanted to tell neighbor lady that Lola's frickin' crazy. Except that sounds idiotic when I'd been lecturing dogs on crosswalk etiquette

Oh god. I just heaved the most noisy sigh when neighbor asked how Lola was doing (I was wrestling Penny over the curb).

Then, Lola saw a squirrel. I am so glad I had her leash wrapped around my wrist. I would never find her again. And the squirrel'd be dead

Penny is so mama focused she became predictable really quickly. Lola is going to be a learning curve, incl scary canine senses & logic.

As in: they're doing fine w/each other,but when a 27 lb Boston Terrier jumps off the bed & scares the pug, I act like it's a thing.It isn't

Channeling my inner Cesar Milan, I see that my overprotectiveness of Penny is a potential snag in Lola & Penny truly being fine w/each other

Lola is possessed. Calm, this crazed dog look comes over,she starts barking @ Penny.Penny gives her the hairy eyeball& I exercise the demon.
