@brianwisti As for Netflix: I guess they just won't have it. As you say, GPLv3 sounds good. Netflix's licensors won't like it.

@brianwisti I'd assume they'd lock it down until nothing "open" or "free" is left. Pretty much how Linux kernels on TVs work today, sadly.

In any Windows incarnation, the setting I'm looking for tends to be in an "advanced" menu, sometimes reinforced with an "advanced" tab.
