In this case I think it's more of an API client that we provide so I guess we should set an opensource license on it for it to be truly free
-
Trying out this Gitorious thing and successfully created a merge request - yay! http://bit.ly/Kn03Qn /cc @evan

@evan Sounds like a good idea - it's actually rather usual for organizations to use Flattr as a way to boost their communities
-
@dpic We do open source all reusable parts that we create - javascript libraries, php libraries, widgets etc.
-
@dpic Yes, but unlike eg. StatusNet there would be no point in others hosting their own instances so not really sure what anyone would gain.
-
@dpic Due to laws etc its hard to decentralize the money part of a site like Flattr. We try to open what we can and implement open standards
-
@mmn@freesocial.org No plans currently to add OpenID to Flattr, I love it myself though and are also following BrowserID and OpenID Connect.
-
@jbfavre: I'm only missing Salmon and subscribe links? Salmon because we don't support comments, subscribe link because we're not a consumer
-
@jbfavre I think have all the links that are needed to publish data in a way that OStatus consumers can consume?
-
@duck1123: Perhaps StatusNet thinks the same? Perhaps I should remove the JSON-alternative for now if so
-
@duck1123: WebFinger is eg. voxpelli@flattr.com and feeds can be found on profile pages, https://flattr.com/profile/VoxPelli, as well
-
@march: It's an OStatus compatible publisher that we're experimenting with
-
Anyone great at OStatus / StatusNet that can help debug why I can't subscribe to voxpelli@flattr.com here? /cc !flattr, @evan

The web is the platform: http://openwebdevice.com

-
And what happens if I respons to myself? Will Diaspora pick up on the response?
-
Looks like this has been fixed now (not me that fixed it, but I could subscribe myself a moment ago so someone must have fixed it)
