I think this is a good idea. And maybe send an extra message of encrypted gibberish alongside each of the real messages. Keep it all about the same size and mix up when you send the real message. i.e. some times send the real message first, or second or third etc but not in any specific order or pattern. This way they'll often decrypt, or attempt to decrypt, the noise before they go after the real stuff.
